Abstract

This study examines the application of User Centered Design (UCD) in developing a web-based GPS attendance system at Polres Garut. The system is designed to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and transparency in recording police personnel attendance while improving user experience. The development process includes user context analysis, requirement specification, user flow and interface design, and iterative evaluation. Usability was assessed using the System Usability Scale (SUS) through an online questionnaire completed by five respondents. The evaluation revealed an average SUS score of 82.5, categorized as Excellent, indicating that the system is highly usable and well-accepted by users. These results demonstrate the effectiveness of the UCD approach in aligning system design with actual user needs. Furthermore, the study highlights prospects for further development, including the integration of real-time notifications, analytics, and expansion to other organizational units, providing a foundation for future research in police information system development.
