Anxiety is one of the most common mental health problems experienced by university students, particularly during the transition to higher education marked by demanding academic and psychosocial pressures. If left unmanaged, this condition can lower students mental well-being. This study aimed to describe the mental well-being of the 2025 cohort of students at Universitas Muhammadiyah Tasikmalaya who experience anxiety. The study employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data were collected from 244 students using the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale-21 (DASS-21) and the Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Well-Being Scale (WEMWBS). Based on the anxiety assessment result, 94 students with mild to extremely severe anxiety were included in the analysis. The findings revealed that the majority of students had a moderate level of mental well-being (74,47%), while 10,64% had a low level and 14,89% had a high level of mental well-being. Analysis by aspect showed that emotional well-being reached 68,72% and psychological well-being reached 68,94%, indicating that both aspect were at a relatively good level. These findings indicate that university students experiencing anxiety are still able to maintain relatively good mental well-being. Therefore, efforts to promote mental well-being through guidance and counseling services in higher education are needed to support personal, academic, and social development among university students.
