Guidelines for Writing Scientific Papers

  1. Scientific works can take the form of research summaries (analysis and system design), particularly in the field of information systems.
  2. Scientific works submitted to the editor of almasoemjournal that have not been previously published in scientific periodicals either domestically or internationally.
  3. The author(s) of scientific papers may consist of one or more persons, with a maximum of two persons. Manuscripts may be written in Indonesian or English, provided they are written correctly and properly.
  4. The maximum length of the manuscript is 20 pages (including appendices and bibliography), on A4 paper with single spacing and Times New Roman 12 font, with margins of 3 cm at the top, 2 cm at the bottom, 3 cm on the left, and 2 cm on the right, and a left gutter of 0.5 cm. For tables, use Times New Roman 10 font and single spacing, and place the table name above the table. For images, place the source below the image, and each table/image must include a source.
  5. Scientific papers should follow the following format and structure:
  6. Title of Scientific Work

The title should be clear, straightforward, concise, not too long, and reflect the content of the scientific paper. It should be written in bold capital letters using Times New Roman 12 font.

  1. Author's Full Name, Affiliation, and Email Address.

The author's full name is written without titles, in bold Times New Roman 12 font. If there are multiple authors, they can be listed below each other, with their affiliations and email addresses written under the author's name.

  1. Abstract and Keywords

The abstract is a summary of the paper, written in Times New Roman 12 font, single-spaced, and accompanied by keywords. The abstract is written in English and Indonesian.

  1. Introduction

The introduction contains the background of the problem, identification of the problem, purpose and objectives of the research, and the conceptual framework.

  1. Methodology

The methodology covers the entire process of how the scientific work was created, as well as explaining the data analysis used.

  1. System Analysis and Design

This stage includes needs analysis, prototype development (business model, business activity, database design, interface design), and prototype testing. Object/UML design includes business use cases, system use cases, activity diagrams, and class diagrams. Conventional design includes flow maps, information requirements, functional requirements, DFDs, E-Rs, data dictionaries, databases, and structure charts.

  1. Conclusion

The conclusion contains an argumentative summary, describing the issues discussed in the results and discussion sections, and may include recommendations based on the research findings.

  1. Bibliography

The bibliography is arranged alphabetically, with the last name listed first, followed by the year of publication, title, publisher, and place of publication. The second and subsequent lines are indented 7 spaces to the right. Example:
